UX Research, Web Design
Magical Adventures Balloon Rides is a hot air balloon rides company. In this collaborative project, my team and I were assigned to design and create a new website for the company, based on a full-scale UX research we have conducted. The research included a thorough process of understanding the business' goals and needs, and incorporating it with the clients' needs. We have conducted competitive analysis, user interviews, created personas, use cases and journey maps, and of course, created prototypes and conducted usability tests. Personally, I was responsible for some aspects of the UX research and fully responsible for creating the final website design.
We have selected 4 major competitors Magical Adventures has in their industry. To conveniently visualize the qualities of each competitor, I have created radar charts with 4 different heuristics which are mostly relevant for the project.
As part of the personas creation process, we have conducted several interviews with Magical Adventures Balloon Rides potential clients and website users. We have decided that our potential clients and users should comply with a few required terms for their interview to be valid for our research:
• Age group must be 23-34.
• Interviewees must reply "no" to the screening question: "Are you afraid of heights?"
• Participants must go online several times a day and use social media.
• Participants must own a smartphone.
• Participants should be interested in, or already did fly a hot air balloon or ride a hot air balloon.
As a part of our user interviews, we asked the participants to work on an open card sort to structure the information in the website. After compiling all the results, we have structured a card sort that fits most of our users' expectations.
We have used Balsamiq to create wireframes for both the mobile and desktop version of the site. This version of the wireframes was used to conduct the first cycle of user testing.

Alongside my part in the UX research, I was responsible of creating the final visual design compositions for the website, as well as implementing them to InVision, to create the final prototype for the second user testing cycle.
Thank you :)
